To launch the Lumia 900 phone, Nokia wanted a flashy reveal. What better way than a custom-built structure in the middle of Times Square – with a live countdown clock ticking down the seconds to a dramatic surprise performance from Nikki Minaj.

The blue box popped up overnight leading passers-by to speculate about the countdown clock.  When the clock ticked down to zero, a kabuki drop revealed the live spectacle to thousands of waiting fans.
