The team at Dope$oul came to ATOMIC to develop an impressive pop-up shopping experience during NYC Fashion Week at a hot retail location in Tribeca. The catch: It all had to come together in less than two weeks AND over a holiday.
POP-UP SHOP
NBA Superstar Kelly Oubre Jr. is the mastermind behind Dope$oul, a new self-expressive lifestyle clothing and accessory brand.
The details for the event were laid out:
- Pop-Up Shop for Clothing, Accessories, and Home Décor
- Immersive Retail Experience
- NYC Fashion Week
- In-Person Brand Launch
- Clothing Fixtures & Custom Lighting
- DJ Set Up & Lounge Space

We couldn’t pass up this DOPE opportunity. Not only because this would challenge our design and production abilities on a tight timeframe, but also – this was a new client with a passion for launching a clothing line that appealed to people, “who don’t fit in with the normal crowd”.
We’re far from normal at ATOMIC, so we immediately kicked our creativity into light speed. The concept for creating custom-built fixtures for the retail areas, bar, DJ set up, lounge, photo op and checkout were accepted and put into production. The result was a unique, on-brand, immersive shopping experience in the heart of Tribeca during NYC Fashion Week. The pop-up shop featured some of the first designs Oubre had ever created including sweatshirts, pants, masks, and a one-of-a-kind rug.

The event was wildly successful, and the featured items sold out quickly. We were honored to be at the helm during this amazing experience for the Dope$oul team and humbled by all our staff and partners to make this vision come to life in such a short amount of time.

Huge shout outs to:
- Kelly Oubre Jr. and Shylynn Gibson – Dope$oul
- George Czinkota and Team – Czinkota Studios
- The Labor Team at Theatrical Resources
- Teresa Hull – 4Wall Lighting
- Kristin Costa – Sourcing and Onsite Support
- Furniture Rental – AFR
- Graphics – Bamko
- Audio – WorldStage
