Ben Platt’s three-week residency at the historic Palace Theatre was a spectacular event, enhanced by ATOMIC’s custom fabrication work.
Ben Platt, a Tony, Emmy, and Grammy award winner, brought his captivating performances to the stage with the help of our skilled team. Working with designer Matt Steinbrenner, our team was tasked with building a circular “moon” backdrop, as well as custom carpeted stairs that led up to the “moon”.
the moon
The “moon” backdrop consisted of an aluminum frame with LED integration, as well as a double layer fabric cover with custom stitched texture.

the stairs
The stairs were functional and used during the performances, seamlessly integrating functionality and aesthetics to enhance the stage.
It was another great collaboration with Matt Steinbrenner, taking his creative vision and making it a reality on stage!
