Kicking off upfront week, NBC hosted their annual upfront presentation with network news and talented scripts by Jimmy Fallon, the cast of Saturday Night Live, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to name a few. Team ATOMIC was tasked with providing many scenic elements to complete designer Julio Himede’s main stage design.
With video being the focus of the design, the ATOMIC Set Construction team worked diligently to create supports for the video tiles. With limited rigging options in the house at Radio City, team ATOMIC provided super lightweight fascia for the video headers. On the main stage, house sculptures were built to conceal lighting, audio, video and our very own pixel pro LED channel (which included over 14,000 discreet channels of control). Our team also partnered closely with All Access to build the raked stage that accommodated both the elevator system and the stringent fire safety requirements.
In the end the set was beautiful and wouldn’t have been possible without our rockstar client and partners: Designer Julio Himede, Producer Hudson Gray, Technical Producer TVtech, All Access, Fuse, 4Wall, Lighting Designer Ryan O’Gara and our Rock Lititz friends at Pyrotek.
