Description
The North Museum forecasted an evening of fun at their annual STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) celebration and fundraiser, Cosmic Bash, and ATOMIC was there to witness the out-of-this-world fun! Excited to work with the North Museum team again after a successful 2017 Cosmic Bash, the ATOMIC Design team transformed Spooky Nook Sports’ Champ Hall into a weather themed event space by utilizing our Rental Solutions’ products and custom scenic capabilities.
To complement the weather theme, the Set Construction team installed 150 umbrellas hung to serve as clouds, a 25′ custom moving tornado hung in the space and tables set with umbrellas and flowers. Designers Tom McPhillips and Brie Rogers utilized Rental Solutions’ products in their design by adding FASTwall Jolt panels reminiscent of lightning bolts and Yetiflake panels to add a snowy element at the nitrogen dessert bar. The auction hall was filled with Starburst panels, like giant fans, to create the feeling of a wind tunnel, and the main stage was set with StretchSet Udon panels acting as rainfall turned into sunrays peeking out from beneath SuperZipper Laser panels that hung like clouds.
Overall, ATOMIC had a blast being a part of the interstellar atmosphere and is looking forward to our next themed event with the North Museum!
