Position Objective

Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Account Management teams in Modular Systems (ModS) and Custom Fabrication (CF) to develop and deepen client relationships, realize sustainable growth for ATOMIC, and ensure profit margins are met with our brand championed. The Director plays a key role in the long-term growth of ATOMIC by integrating strong business practices and ATOMIC’s human-focused culture and brand. In doing this work, the Director cultivates a healthy and collaborative team environment with strong partnerships throughout the organization.

 

Core Responsibilities                                              

  1. Serve on the Operational Leadership Team (OLT) team tasked with strategic thinking and execution of business operations in support of and in alignment with ATOMIC’s strategic goals.
  2. Manage project flow into our pipeline, working with VP and CBDO to evaluate potential new projects or client relationships while vetting capacity with operations towards achievable project timelines.
  3. Support the project opportunity process, including leading the capacity assessment for the Account Management team. Assess opportunities with Program Managers to ensure appropriate resources are allocated for both client engagement and profitability.
  4. Ensure operational efficiency within the ModS and CF account management teams, partnering with project management, production design, product development, and operations departments through development and implementation of strong process and communication.
  5. Work with VP to meet financial and other agreed-upon targets, efficiently managing resources and monitoring/reporting on staff and budget projections.
  6. Develop methods of consistent client feedback and drive the client satisfaction process, ensuring that the client’s voice is heard throughout the company.
  7. Model strong relationship building and the value of collaboration. Provide mentorship to the Account Management Program Managers, as well as the greater Account Management team, aiding in their professional growth and building our talent pipeline.
  8. Lead the annual budgeting process for Account Management by developing a capital expense plan that ensures ongoing efficiency, effectiveness, and up-to-date capability.
  9. Manage to the budget, monitoring and communicating financial goals to the Account Management team.
  10. Drive the ATOMIC culture with support and guidance of HR and Senior Level Management.
  11. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing appropriate standards and procedures and complying with those established by the Safety Committee.

 

Organizational Relationships

The Director of Account Management reports to the VP of Account Management & Technical Design. Program Managers report to this position. This position works closely with Operations and Technical Design.

Credentials and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years of applicable experience OR 15+ years of applicable experience leading sales/account management teams
  • 8 years of progressive sales leadership experience
  • Maintain a valid passport.

Physical Requirements

Those necessary for general office work.

Work Environment

  • Typical office environment. At times, manufacturing/warehouse environment or event venues.
  • Up to 25% travel required.
