Position Objective

Coordinate and drive the technical build aspects of existing and new ModS assets for all US and EU operations, as well as custom ModS products and installations.

Core Responsibilities

  2. Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials.
  3. Source and order materials as required.
  4. Manage third-party suppliers for materials, graphics, and outsourced fabrication, with the support of purchasing.
  5. Support product launch process and new product deliverables, including scheduling of new asset builds, working closely with R&D, Marketing, and Account Management.
  6. Manage requests and manufacturing for existing and new asset builds, as well as custom elements.
  7. Complete job costing/budget details for all asset builds.
  8. Prepare a bill of materials for assets and custom elements.
  9. Conduct feasibility studies to solve technical design problems including thorough prototyping, estimated material usage, and test build process, collaborating with R&D and others.
  10. Serve as a resource on the safe and effective use of ModS products.
  11. Research issues as needed throughout the production process, including review of drawings and answering operations questions during the build process.
  12. Generate build instruction steps for new products or custom applications.
  13. Contribute to the development of a safety culture.

Organizational Relationships

The ModS Manufacturing Coordinator reports to the ModS Operations Manager and works closely with Account Managers, Light Assembly, and Manufacturing Leads.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; familiarity with inventory management system (e.g., Flex).
  • Knowledge of rigging principles a plus.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of materials and standard manufacturing practices.
  • Experience with work orders, job tracking systems, and coordinating across multiple departments (design, fabrication, production, logistics).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and decipher technical drawings.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills including interpersonal, written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Ability to troubleshoot fabrication, production, or logistics issues in real time.
  • Excellent math and analytical skills.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Ability to develop and work to a budget.

Credentials & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in manufacturing environment including strong knowledge of materials (wood, metal, acrylic, graphics), CNC machining, and finishing processes.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience creating bill of materials and managing production schedules, budgets and deliverables.
  • Inventory control experience.
  • Experience with trade show or corporate event manufacturing including familiarity with the workflow of trade show booth design, custom fabrication, logistics, and onsite installation.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Those necessary for general office work as well as shop work that can include constructing and building custom projects.

Work Environment

Office or warehouse, with potential for occasional travel.
