ATOMIC

Position Objective

Assist with completion of design concepts for all ATOMIC profit centers for both client facing and internal projects in the live entertainment business.

Core Responsibilities

1. Support the design team with design work to meet client expectations to achieve overall look, budget, and timeline.
2. Work with the team to support all aspects of the design process as required.
3. Manage multiple design assignments simultaneously with varying deadlines and expectations.
4. Remain current with industry trends and technology.
5. Be proactive with professional development.
6. Work with direction of others in the various aspects of set and environment design.
7. Provide input on design, aesthetic, interface and functional solutions for event. Create presentations for clients.

Organizational Relationships

• The Assistant Designer reports to the Design Program Manager.

Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Adobe Creative Suite
• AutoCAD/VectorWorks
• Familiarity with After Effects, InDesign, Cinema 4D and SketchUp
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of all facets of scenic construction, rigging, lighting and video.
• Solid knowledge of theater terms and operations.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.

Credentials and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Scenic Design, or related field OR 2 years of related design experience
• Maintain a valid passport.

Physical Requirements

• Those necessary for general office work and work on site at event venues.

Work Environment

• Typical office environment for the majority of the time.
• Travel, with work at times outdoors or in event venues
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the year, both domestically and internationally
