Behind the Seams
The live event scenic world is filled with wood, metal and LEDs making the soft, fabric elements often blend in with the background. Today we’d like to celebrate that fabric and all the jobs that look amazing because of our skilled seamsters and seamstresses. Over the last 20+ years, ATOMIC’s team has been creating custom soft goods for clients such as MTV, Cirque du Soleil, Rolling Stones and so many more. We don’t just build your average rectangles here (though we’re pretty great at it!). We have skilled stitchers well versed in build-to-fit drapery, custom fabric sculptures, and tailored construction. Our in-house team of draftsmen work with our soft goods team to create drawings and patterns as needed while our graphic and paint departments often lend a hand at adding print or custom painted finishes on our backdrops. To top it off – we have a full truss for testing builds before hitting the road. Take a look below at some of our unique soft goods projects over the years. Call your Set Construction Account Manager to talk about your next project!
